VeraNatura’s consultants have a longstanding experience in:

Renewable energy

VeraNatura can be contacted to convert companies, individual offices, and house to renewable wind, water and/or solar energy. Using the experience from its education center “The Mill” VeraNatura is looking forward to be contacted by those needing advice about their renewable energy conversion.

Waste management, landfill gas recovery and CO2 emission trading

The position of the stakeholders has been assessed, including municipalities, local environmental authorities, landfill operators and Rroma population.

The main focus is on e.g.:
- Collection, reuse and recycling
- Reduction of solid waste disposal
- Methane collection (reduction of CO2 emission) and flaring
- Creation of Carbon Credits
- Use of waste as a resource (waste to energy)

In Hungary the landfills of Nagykanizsa, Pecs, Baja and Oroshaza are visited and investigated. Among many smaller places the landfills of the following Romanian cities are visited and investigated as well: Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Oradea, Zalau, Bistrita, Cluj-Napoca, Targu Mures, Botosani, Suceava, Iasi, Vaslui, Brasov, Alba Iulia, Deva, Hunedoara and Timisoara.

Eco-technology, promotion and retail of sustainable products

VeraNatura has developed the sustainable resource and education center, “The Mill” in Western Carpathian region, county of Cluj, Romania. Sustainable buildings and centers promoting sustainable technologies have been visited as preparation. For example the Stichting Viba Expo in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Brabant, The Netherlands (www.sveweb.nl - in Dutch) and Solar Living Institute in Hopland, California, USA (www.solarliving.org). In addition research has been conducted in the area for sustainable livelihoods and practices, including photo-documentation. Volunteers have been attracted to renovate and upgrade buildings and rehabilitate the natural ecosystem.

Innovation

VeraNatura works closely together with companies and non-profit organizations whose mission includes being more industriously sustainable. One of those organizations is the America-based 501 C3 non-profit Corporation Noble Green. This corporation is involved in providing the possibility to the public to close the industrious cycle of using paper by providing the option of a voluntary donation when purchasing paper products. The donations are used for replanting the trees needed for the production of paper.
